Does Insurance Cover Regenerative Medicine Procedures?

The question we hear a lot in our clinic is whether insurance will cover certain regenerative medicine procedures. The answer while somewhat frustrating is, ‘it depends’. Sitting down with one of our doctors will help you to not only get a better sense of the necessary treatment options for your condition, but it will also give you a sense of whether a certain procedure will be covered by insurance.

MCFRM Offers Comprehensive Evaluation by Licensed Medical Doctors

Unlike some regenerative medicine clinics, when you sit down with one of our doctors you’re being examined by a board certified physician whose able to provide a comprehensive evaluation of your current condition. This evaluation will help you and your doctor determine whether certain procedures that may be covered by insurance such as cortisone injections, radio frequency ablation and other minimally invasive surgical procedures could alleviate your pain.

AT MCFRM, if you have insurance, our first step is attempting some of the more conventional approaches to reduce your pain. If we’re not able to alleviate your pain through these methods, we’ll then look into other procedures such as stem cell treatments. While insurance companies are currently not covering these types of procedures, we’re hopeful that in the future we may be able to offer coverage for this type of treatment. In fact, we’re currently working with the Interventional Orthopedic Foundation to attempt to get coverage for these types of procedures.[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1y0xY6bJcQ”][vc_column_text]
