Our Unique Approach to Hip & Pelvic Pain Treatment

Over the past few years our team here at The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine has seen a large uptick in the number of patients dealing with hip and pelvic pain. This type of pain can be extremely frustrating and unfortunately impacts a large percentage of the entire US population. At our clinic we offer a whole host of different treatment options, depending on the severity of the pain as well as your unique medical needs.

Common Causes of Hip Pain

Below are just a few of the common causes of hip pain that we see in our patients.

  1. Tendonitis
  2. Bursitis
  3. Muscle injury such as a strain or tear
  4. Labral tears
  5. Pelvic floor issues
  6. Osteoarthritis
  7. Hip impingement

As you can see the causes of hip pain can be due to a variety of different health issues, which is why it’s so important to be seen by a reputable Board Certified Physician when you’re experiencing prolonged hip or pelvic pain.

Treatment Options for Hip & Pelvic Pain

At The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine, we treat quite a few patients who are experiencing hip & pelvic pain. Our treatment regimen differs depending on the patient, but we have a variety of options depending on the severity of the pain. Listed below are a few of our treatment options that you can expect if you’re seeing one of our doctors to deal with hip & pelvic pain.

  1. Conservative Treatment Options – We’ll first start off with a conservative treatment regimen which will likely include rest, physical therapy, over-the-counter medications and possibly a visit to a Chiropractor.
  2. Injections – Next we’ll try injections, nerve blocks or therapeutic blocks to attempt to reduce your pain.
  3. Regenerative Medicine Treatment Options – Once we’ve exhausted some of our more conservative treatment options we’ll investigate whether a regenerative medicine option may work best for you, or if your condition is too severe and may require surgery.

The key thing to remember when working with our physicians is that we’ll always develop a treatment plan that’s in the best interest of you, the patient.
