Is stem cell therapy FDA approved for my condition?
It depends on the condition and the product. The FDA has approved certain blood-forming stem cell products for limited uses, and many regenerative treatments are not FDA approved for specific conditions. Your physician will explain the status and the evidence for your situation.
Is the procedure done in one visit?
Yes. Cells are collected, processed in our in-house lab, and placed during the same outpatient visit, which typically takes about two hours.
Will I be awake during the procedure?
Most procedures use only a local anesthetic, such as lidocaine. IV sedation is available when appropriate.
How is the injection guided?
Our physicians use ultrasound or fluoroscopic (x-ray) imaging to place cells in the intended tissue.
