Combining PRP, Electromagnetic Therapy, and RF Technology
Our regenerative treatments are supported by a multidisciplinary team, including Nurse Practitioner Ashley Loane, and board-certified physicians in pain management and regenerative medicine. Ashley brings expertise in women’s health, aesthetics, pelvic floor restoration, and sexual wellness. Her advanced training and certification through the Cellular Medicine Association allow her to provide highly specialized procedures such as the O-Shot®, P-Shot®, Vampire Facelift®, and other PRP-based therapies. Together, our team ensures that every patient receives care tailored to their condition, delivered with medical precision and ongoing clinical oversight.
Understanding the Pelvic Floor and Its Role
The pelvic floor is a complex network of muscles, ligaments, and connective tissue that supports the bladder, uterus, and rectum in women, and is similarly important for men. This structure can weaken as we age or follow events such as childbirth or surgery. The result may include urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and decreased structural support. For many, these symptoms significantly impact quality of life, yet remain under-discussed or untreated.
Platelet-Rich Plasma: A Regenerative Foundation
The application of PRP is a cornerstone of our pelvic floor therapy. By isolating and concentrating platelets from a small sample of the patient’s blood, we can inject biologically active material directly into targeted tissue. In pelvic floor dysfunction, PRP injections help promote healing, reinforce connective tissue, and stimulate the regeneration of collagen and vascular support. Patients often receive PRP in conjunction with the O-Shot® or P-Shot® for additional support in addressing sexual wellness concerns.
Electromagnetic Therapy: Functional Muscle Activation
We incorporate high-intensity focused electromagnetic therapy (HIFEM) to support muscular regeneration using our EMSELLA chair. This noninvasive, chair-based treatment stimulates involuntary contractions of the pelvic floor muscles—over 12,000 supramaximal contractions in a single 28-minute session. The results show measurable improvements in muscle tone, coordination, and endurance, which are essential for controlling continence and improving sexual response.
Radiofrequency Technology: Tissue Rejuvenation Through Thermal Stimulation
Radiofrequency therapy adds a third dimension to our approach. Using a hand-held applicator, gentle RF energy is delivered to the vaginal walls or surrounding tissue. This energy generates controlled heat, stimulating fibroblast activity and enhancing collagen and elastin production. The result is firmer, more elastic tissue, often reducing symptoms of vaginal atrophy and dryness.
Why a Combined Approach Matters
Each of these modalities offers clinical benefit on its own. However, when combined in a properly sequenced care plan, they address pelvic floor dysfunction from multiple vantage points: biochemical healing (PRP), neuromuscular activation (HIFEM), and connective tissue rejuvenation (RF). We improve outcomes and accelerate recovery by engaging all relevant tissue systems—muscle, nerve, vascular, and fascia.
What to Expect
Patients begin with a comprehensive consultation, assessing symptoms, history, and goals. Depending on individual needs, a treatment plan that may include one or more of these modalities is developed. Most therapies are on-site, minimally invasive, and require little to no downtime.
Schedule a Consultation for Pelvic Floor Therapy
If you are experiencing symptoms such as urinary leakage, pelvic discomfort, or diminished sexual sensation and/or function, you may benefit from our structured, regenerative approach to pelvic floor therapy. Contact The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine at (248) 216‑1008 to schedule your consultation. Our team will work with you to identify the right combination of treatments to help restore comfort, confidence, and quality of life.
