Stem Cell Treatments Detroit, MI

Mesenchymal Stem Cells Defined

At The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine, we understand that the quality of the cells used is paramount to achieving positive outcomes in any type of regenerative medicine procedure. Because of this, we have elected to use only mesenchymal stem cells, or orthobiologics. Mesenchymal simply means these cells are your own cells and most often harvested from your bone marrow. This is in contrast to other providers that may use donor cells, which may or may not be as effective over the long term. At The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine, we stand firm in our belief that, at the current moment, mesenchymal stem cells are the best option for the majority of regenerative medicine procedures completed at our clinic.

Importance of an In-House Regenerative Medicine Lab for Stem Cell Treatments

When you are receiving stem cell treatments in Michigan, it’s important to understand the quality of the cells that are being injected into your body. At The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine, we have an in-house regenerative medicine lab where specially trained lab technicians can take your own cells, analyze them, and ensure the highest-quality cells are reinjected into the affected treatment area. This process is much different from a typical bedside centrifuge, which is used in most regenerative medicine clinics.

At The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine, we partner with Greyledge Technologies to provide the highest quality lab to better analyze your cells. Pair this state-of-the-art regenerative medicine lab with our team of Board-Certified physicians, and you have a recipe for high-quality stem cell treatments. Reach out to our team today to schedule your first consultation.

Healing potential…solution to pain management…safe and effective…these are all words to describe stem cell treatments. As a revolutionary solution for today’s pain management challenges, The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine aims to harness the power of stem cells to avoid the limits of traditional medicine.

We feel it’s amazing that we have the ability to use our own stem cells to heal our own injuries! That’s why we specialize in this safe and effective alternative to traditional medicine and surgery. Plus, you can also prevent the need for invasive surgeries that are plagued by long recovery times.

The process itself, simple and painless, involves isolating your own stem cells, concentrating them into a syringe and injecting them where they can have the most benefit. For years, stem cells have been used to successfully treat conditions such as spinal disc herniations, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, rotator cuff damage, whiplash and plantar fasciitis.

Stem cells, abundant in our bone marrow and fat for the most part, can help our own bodies when applied correctly. Here at The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine, we concentrate on the cells in bone marrow because they work better for the types of conditions we treat. In addition, because the FDA restricts techniques that isolate fat cells, we focus on bone marrow aspiration procedures to remain in compliance.

Stem Cell Treatments: Advantages

So many people could benefit from adopting a treatment plan that doesn’t simply mask their pain. Rather than pop pills and inject cortisone into your problem areas, why not start addressing the underlying cause? We believe there are several benefits of stem cell treatments near Detroit.

Stem cell treatments can:

  • Offer an alternative to expensive surgery and long recovery times.
  • Create healthy cells to replace diseased ones, also known as regenerative medicine.
  • Repair and regenerate disease or damaged tissues.
  • For symptoms related to joints and spine, all musculoskeletal injuries such as auto injuries and work-related injuries

The Procedure: What to Expect

You likely have a lot of questions about whether stem cell treatments near Detroit are right for you. Dr. Thomas S. Nabity, Jr., and his team will do all they can to educate you on the process at your consultation. In short, Dr. Nabity will harvest your cells and isolate them in an on-site lab using a centrifuge and flow cytometer to get the highest concentration of cells that he can.

He will then place the stem cells in a syringe and re-introduce them into the targeted tissue with the assistance of x-ray or ultrasound for precision. The whole procedure takes just one visit, usually in about two hours. You may need just a local anesthetic but IV sedation is available too.
