In case you’re not aware, a large portion of our team recently returned from a large conference in Denver, Colorado centered around the latest trends and breakthroughs in regenerative medicine. This conference, dubbed the IOF MAX With TOBI Conference, was the first to be jointly organized by the top two organizations in the field, the IOF (Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation) and TOBI (The Orthobiologic Institute). This year’s conference had the largest attendance, with close to 500 participants, compared to around 30 when the conference first began.
Who Represented The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine at IOF Max With TOBI?
The Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine was proud to have a large number of doctors in attendance, which included:

In addition to having a strong presence at this conference, several of our doctors served as instructors and featured speakers. Dr. Nabity and Dr. Santa Ana both taught training courses on a variety of regenerative medicine procedures, and Dr. Nabity also spoke at the conference.
It should be a good sign for potential patients that not only is such a strong team present at one of the top regenerative medicine conferences in the country, but that several of these doctors are also training other physicians in techniques we have been using in our clinic for several years. Full Circle Moment – Spending Time With Dr. Philippe Hernigou At This Year’s Conference
Another high point at this year’s conference was spending time with the highly respected Dr. Philippe Hernigou. Dr. Hernigou is one of the pioneers of the entire regenerative medicine industry and it was an honor to spend time with him at this year’s conference. Dr. Hernigou has now presented for two years running, and it’s always inspiring to learn directly from one of the early adopters of regenerative medicine.
Big Announcement Coming Out of The IOF Max With TOBI Conference
One of the biggest announcements that we’re excited about coming out of this year’s conference is the launch of the Ortho Healthspan Alliance. While we’ll cover this organization in future blogs and content, it’s important to understand the Ortho Healthspan Alliance and what it means for patients across the country.
The Ortho Healthspan Alliance is a physician-led, privately managed group of regenerative medicine physicians focused on providing the highest level of care to their patients regardless of location. The goal of this alliance is for patients to receive the same level of care in Michigan as they could in North Carolina or anywhere in the US where participating physicians are available. This is especially important for a clinic like ours, where our doctors are already training other physicians across the country, which is why an alliance like this makes sense.
While we do have out-of-town patients who come to our regenerative medicine clinic in Michigan, we also understand that travel may not be possible for everyone. Through the Ortho Healthspan Alliance, you can be confident that a participating clinic in your area will use the same regenerative medicine techniques and high-quality equipment to provide you with the highest level of treatment possible.
