How PRP Hair Restoration Works

Did you know that more than half of men in their 40s report moderate to severe hair loss? Hair thinning is common among men and women, and thankfully, it can be treated. Here is an overview of the PRP treatment process:

  • Come in for a Consultation to Determine if PRP Treatment for Hair Restoration Is a Good Fit for Your Needs
  • Get a Personalized Treatment Plan That’s Tailored to Your Goals and Hair Care Needs
  • Complete 4-6 Rounds of PRP Hair Treatment, Spaced 4-6 Weeks Apart
  • Wash, Dye, and Cut Your Hair as Normal
  • Return for Booster Appointments as Needed to Maintain Your Desired Hair Thickness
  • Optimize Your Results with Early Intervention

Each PRP appointment takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete, but the treatment itself is only 10-15 minutes of that. Alternative hair restoration procedures take a full day, and they do not offer as much safety as PRP. Contact Michigan Center For Regenerative Medicine at (248) 216-1008 to schedule a consultation for PRP hair treatment in Metro Detroit.

Is PRP Treatment Permanent?

PRP stimulates hair follicles that have gone dormant. It cannot treat complete baldness, but it can minimize future hair loss.

With that in mind, PRP treatment for hair restoration is not permanent. Most patients need occasional booster treatments to maintain hair thickness. Michigan Center For Regenerative Medicine will customize a treatment plan to meet your goals and hair restoration needs. Our office is located at:
