He graduated from the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in 1998 and spent a year in South Korea working in the Emergency Room. After leaving the military, he completed a fellowship in Neurovascular and skull-based surgery in Indianapolis before establishing a practice in southeast Michigan in 2020.
