What is PRP hair restoration?

PRP hair restoration is a non-surgical treatment for thinning hair in men and women. A small amount of your own blood is processed to concentrate the platelets, which are then placed into the scalp to support existing and dormant hair follicles. Every candidate is evaluated first, and results vary.

Am I a Good Candidate for PRP Treatment for Hair Restoration?

Approximately 50% of women will experience some level of balding in their lives, and 85% of men have thinning hair by age 50. Hair loss is not uncommon, regardless of age or ethnicity. PRP treatment may help thinning hair, but it cannot regrow hair follicles. This treatment is also not ideal for people who are pregnant, going through cancer treatment, or receiving certain forms of medical care.

Does PRP work for women?

Yes, PRP is used for thinning hair in both men and women. Your provider will look at the cause of your hair loss first.

Is PRP hair restoration painful?

A topical anesthetic is used, and most patients tolerate it well.

How long does a treatment take?

Typically 10 to 15 minutes after the blood draw.

How many treatments are needed?

When will I see results?
